Description
Just recently acquired from the original owner, this first-year Mustang is finished in Red & sports a silky smooth neck that plays great up & down the fretboard. These have always been a big favorite here at Cream City Music & thanks to a pro set up from our in-house tech, it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear for a nearly 60-year old guitar - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar looks wonderful & has an ultra cool, true vintage vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Maple neck with clay side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream buttons & double string trees. 1 5/8" nut width; 24" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Offset, solid poplar body finished in Red. Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece with original trem arm. Adjustable bridge with "barrel" saddles. 3-ply white pearloid pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 0.1 oz.
Electronics: Original grey bottom single coils with black covers. Master volume & tone controls with black knobs. Both slider switches work fine. Pots date to '64 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
