We get lots of Mustangs in the shop, but not many in the rare, custom color black finish. This one has an ultra cool, true vintage vibe & is a dynamite player to boot. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just the way we like to see them - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are various circular pattern impressions in the finish in the back of the body, most likely caused by a guitar strap or perhaps a previous decal - just a guess. Nonetheless, the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. The back of the neck shows off some nice flame figuring. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. F-tuners are in good working condition. However, there were different tuners on the guitar at one time as evidenced by the filled holes. Headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. 1 5/8" nut width; 24" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid body finished in black. Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge. 3-ply pearloid pickguard is in great shape & has aged nicely along with the black finish. Newer trem arm included. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 10.9 oz.
Electronics: Original single coils with black covers. Master volume & tone controls. Switches are fully functioning & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included with replacement handle. The left-side clasp can be a bit finicky at times & doesn't always stayed latched.
