Description
Over the years the Mustang Bass has always been a popular item here at Cream City Music & this exciting example from 1975 has a neck that shows off some absolutely stunning bird's eye figuring - truly remarkable! The neck has a semi-chunky profile to it & feels exceptionally comfortable in your hand, no matter where you are in the fretboard. Finished in classic 3-tone sunburst & professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but certainly not abused, with typical mild play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. The bass is actually in pretty good shape for being nearly 50 years old & has a really cool vibe to it.
Neck: Nicely rounded & semi-chunky maple neck with black side-dots. As previously mentioned, the neck displays lots of gorgeous bird's eye figuring all over it. Beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decals are clean with no bits missing. Fender nickel "clover" tuners & round string tree. 1 5/8" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body finished in 3-tone sunburst. String-thru bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. 3-ply white pickguard with black tugbar & nickel/chrome hardware. Bass weighs 8 lbs 6.3 oz.
