Description
Made for only a brief moment in the mid to late'60s, this model was first introduced as the King, then later adopted the name Kingman around '65. The top is solid spruce in a natural finish, while the back & sides are a Wildwood II finish with matching headstock.
With a strong voice & great sound projection, this not only a very unique guitar, but it's tons of fun to play!
Cosmetic Condition: An ultra cool, true vintage look with some typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a repaired crack in the top between the soundhole & bridge that was glued & cleated, but overall the guitar looks great.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some waer, but have plenty of life in them. Strat-style headstock with single string tree & Wildwood II finish. F-tuners work great. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought with solid spruce top & multi-ring rosette. Replacement rosewood bridge with six individual adjustable "barrel" saddles. The original bridge is included with the guitar. 4-ply gold pickguard. Back & sides in Wildwood II finish. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 14.8 oz.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included. One of the bottom latches is missing.
