Description
Made for only a brief moment in the mid '60s, this model was first introduced as the King, then later adopted the name Kingman around '65. The top is solid spruce in a natural finish, while the back & sides are zebra wood in a cool 3-tone sunburst finish. With a strong voice & great sound projection, this not only a very unique guitar, but it's tons of fun to play!
Cosmetic Condition: An ultra cool, true vintage look with some typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish/pick wear near the soundhole. There's a crack in the top behind the bridge, but overall the guitar looks great.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Typical small frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Strat-style headstock with single string tree. F-tuners work great. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought with solid spruce top & multi-ring rosette. Rosewood bridge with six individual adjustable "barrel" saddles. 4-ply gold pickguard. Zebra wood back & sides in sunburst finish. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 6 lbs 2.7 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
