Description
100% original & a dynamite player, with a smooth playing neck & marvelous sounding pickups. The bass is actually transitional from '66 to '67. The neck dates to Dec of '66 & the pots date to '66, however, both pickups date to '67, so we're calling it a '67. Either way you slice, it's a freakin' cool ass bass! Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Super cool vintage vibe with good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the bass looks great & shows off a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have tons of life in them. Fender open-back tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 7 DEC 66 A.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-Tone Sunburst. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles & original bridge cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & has its original black finger rest. Bass weighs 9 lbs 5 oz.
Electronics: Dual single coil Jazz Bass pickups both date to '67. Bridge - 6.73K ohms; Neck - 6.84K ohms with original chrome cover. Dual volume & master tone controls. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is in similar condition to the bass, however, it is missing its right latch.
