Description
What makes this bass special: A wonderful player's grade Jazz Bass that was professionally refinished quite some time ago. However, the finish on the front of the headstock is still the original Olympic White that aged nicely over the years. Fun to play a very affordable for anyone looking to pick up a true '60s Jazz Bass.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the bass has a cool look to it & a great vibe.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with very little wear. Single string tree with rear headstock strap button. Open-gear tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length. For the most part the neck is straight, but does have a bit of a warp up beyond the 12th fret. Truss rod is in perfect working condition. Neck stamp reads 7 NOV 65 A.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body refinished in Olympic White that has aged into more of a yellowish cream color. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles & original bridge cover included. The original screw holes for the bridge cover were filled when the body was refinished & the two existing holes were erroneously drilled for a P-Bass cover, so they're actually in the wrong spot. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & has its original black finger rest. Bass weighs 9 lbs 10.1 oz.
