Description
A true vintage beauty with an ultra cool look, tone & feel. A dynamite player's grade guitar delivering those signature Jaguar sounds. Fully inspected & set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Typical play wear for its age with just the right look - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The Olympic White finish has aged beautifully over the years & mellowed into more of cream color with nice variegation throughout. There's a tiny crack at the base of the headstock just below the low E tuner. It's purely cosmetic & doesn't affect playability or sound quality. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Maple Mustang/Musicmaster II neck with some light flame figuring. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal tuners & headstock decal with an extra hole in the headstock from a previous string tree. 1 5/8" nut width; 24" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 8NOV65B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Olympic White. Tremolo tailpiece with trem arm included. Adjustable bridge with six "barrel" saddles & bridge cover included. 3-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 15.5 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal single coils with rhythm & lead circuits. Dual control wheels for individual volume & tone in rhythm circuit. 3 individual switches in lead circuit. Master volume & tone controls Pots date to '65 and all electronics are fully functional.
Case: Earlier period Fender brown tolex hardshell case included. The case is a bit rough, but still serves its purpose well.
