100% original & a dynamite player thanks to a pro inspection/set up by the experts here at Cream City Music. One of the last guitars designed by Leo for Fender, post CBS acquisition, but prior to his departure from the company. The specially voiced pickups in tandem with individually adjustable bridge saddles made this one a favorite amongst musicians of the era.
Cosmetic Condition: Typical mild play wear for its age - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some weather checking. Overall the guitar looks great with a super cool vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decal is in great shape with no bits missing. F-logo tuners work great. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 12 MAY 66 B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. String-thru bridge with 12 individual adjustable saddles. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 6.6 oz.
Electronics: Grey bottom, split single coil pickups with 4-way selector switch. All pickups date to '66. Master volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. A couple of rivets are missing from one of the backside hinges, but still functions fine.
