Description
A fabulous player's grade Electric XII due in large part to the amateur body refinish. Aside from that & one string tuner, the guitar is all original. This is an early one, dating to '65 & thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music, it plays & sounds fantastic! So here's a really wonderful opportunity to own a true vintage Fender at an affordable price.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & finish wear throughout. The body was refinished in a dark green color, but it appears the original sunburst still exists underneath it. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with a great vintage vibe.
Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Original small frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. All but one tuner is original - they show a lot of "ageing" but are all fully functioning. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp read 12 OCT 65 C.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body refinished in dark green. String-thru bridge with 12 adjustable saddles. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 11.8 oz.
Electronics: Dual split single coil pickups with 4-way pickup selector switch. Master volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal "coffin" hardshell case included.
