What makes this guitar special: A marvelous hollow body archtop that produces a wonderful, warm, rich tone. Without even plugging it in, the guitar's natural acoustic resonance is absolutely gorgeous & sustains brilliantly. Just holding it in your hands you can tell the guitar is solidly built, exceptionally well-crafted & sturdy. It has been professionally inspected & set up by our own luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for its age actually with some typical play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. There's a tiny bit of shrinkage in the body binding & the neck heel cap has warped a bit, but overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Super dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover Imperial tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions.
Body: Double-bound, single-cutaway, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. The back of the body shows off some nice birdseye figuring which looks beautiful through the natural finish. Unoriginal Bigsby tremolo tailpiece & unoriginal pickguard. The guitar is currently fitted with a compensated floating rosewood bridge, however, the gold compensated bridge that came with the Bigsby is included. 17 1/2" lower bout; 3 1/2" depth. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.6 oz.
Electronics: One New York neck pickup - 5.14K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with original octagonal knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
