Description
Description: Vintage Epiphone EA-260 Hollow-Body Electric Bass Guitar in Red Burst Finish
Condition: Very good overall! Various light surface scratches throughout the finish; overall very clean! There is one tiny crack in the first layer of the veneer on back but it does not go all the way through. It is merely a small cosmetic nuance and does not affect playability or sound (see photos). The neck has a very slight bow though is mostly straight with the truss rod fully tightened. The neck has been shimmed for a better neck angle resulting in great action and playability! Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound hollow body with dual cutaways and maple top, back and sides in red burst finish. Trapeze tailpiece with rosewood center piece, rosewood-based bridge with individual nickel saddles and string mute mechanism, skirted control knobs with silver inserts, dual bound “F” holes and a single-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Slim bolt-on maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Closed gear tuners, 30.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 7.60K Ohms.
Bridge: 7.52K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 14.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This bass has a very unique sound and an awesome vintage vibe! Each pickup has great output and the hollow body provides a full, round tone. The neck shim has resulted in very comfortable action up and down the neck. This combines with the slim neck profile makes for very comfortable playability.
Case: Does not include case.
