Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a solid vintage Electra bass with great tone and a unique look. The split-coil pickup has a nice full response for a simple configuration and outputs a good amount of low end thump and mid-range punch as well, all of which has a bit of vintage warmth that doesn’t compromise high-end articulation. The neck has some chunk to it and a bit of extra width to boot, making it a great candidate for those who like the old-school full in-hand feel. The 5-piece body has a distinct look, where each section has differently facing figuring, all centered by a tight-grained centerpiece that looks almost like tweed. Throw a brown Sunburst finish over it, and you’ve got some serious visual character.
Condition: This bass is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scratches, and other forms of normal playwear, but is still in good shape, especially for its age. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured 5-piece body in Sunburst finish. Single-ply black pickguard. Fixed brass bridge with individually adjustable saddles. Black knurled dome control knobs.
Neck: Medium depth D shape maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Vitnage-style open-gear tuning machines with clover keys. 1 9/16” brass nut. 34” scale length.
Electronics: Split-coil pickup in the middle. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.
