Description

This gorgeous short scale, hollow body bass offers a warm, rich tone with an absolutely beautiful natural acoustic resonance without even plugging it in! The honey sunburst finish looks fabulous over the natural wood grain, especially on the back, which shows off some spectacular flame figuring in the body. The slender profile neck is exceptionally comfortable to play & the double single coils offer a dynamic texture to delight the player for hours on end. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.

Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with mild play wear - various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & some finish checking. Overall the bass has a cool, true vintage look to it with a gentle patina.

Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.
Ebony fingerboard with silver dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Raised EKO headstock logo. Open-back nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-bound, maple hollow body with dual F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece with a four-saddle adjustable bridge on a floating wood base. There was a different bridge on the bass at one time as evidenced by the ghosting image left behind in the finish. 5-ply tortoise pickguard with large white tug bar. Bass weighs 6 lbs 6.9 oz.

Electronics: Two single coils with 4-way selector switch. Dual volume & tone controls.
All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Guild hardshell case included.
