Description
What’s special about this banjo: This is a great sounding Aria Pro II 5-String banjo with a fantastic sound! This particular banjo has a very warm overall sound with a very loud pick attack and tons of volume and resonance! Features include a wood pot with dual metal coordinator rods and an angled tone ring, a double-bound mahogany resonator and a super comfortable 5-string mahogany neck. This model also has beautiful vine inlays throughout the fingerboard and headstock giving it a very classy look!
Condition: Very good shape overall! There are various minor scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. There are some heavier chips on the inside of the resonator and one of the thumbscrews and thumbscrew lugs is missing. The fingerboard and frets have only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The 5th string nut has been replaced evidenced by excess glue. The truss rod functions perfectly. The upper coordinator rod is not anchoring properly in the neck heel so the action is about as low as it will go. Though slightly high, the action is playable. At least one lug is unoriginal and two are missing. There is still proper tension on the head however.
Body: 11” diameter head with 22 lugs on a chrome tension hoop. Chrome arm rest, nickel tailpiece and a one-piece chrome flange. Maple pot with dual metal coordinator rods, a 20-hole angled tone ring. Double-bound mahogany resonator with abalone inlays around the binding.
Neck: Super comfortable maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. There are abalone inlays beneath the binding. Pearloid vine and pedal inlays and a 1 3/16” nut. Nickel machine tuners with ivoroid buttons, 26 ¼” scale length.
Weight: 11lbs, 6.5oz.
