What makes this guitar special: Made for only a very brief moment in the late '80s, this gorgeous jumbo features an all black finish with gold hardware & hexagonal abalone inlays. Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for its age with some typical play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some mild finish wear. There's a tiny bit of shrinkage in the body binding just below the neck heel. Also you'll notice bits of finish chipping along certain areas of the body binding. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it & plays wonderfully.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged 3-ply cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone hexagon inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Gold Martin tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid spruce top with 7-ply binding. Ebony bridge & cream end pins with abalone dot inlays. Black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with 5-ply binding. 16" lower bout width; 5" depth. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 15 oz.
Electronics: Passive, under-saddle pickup.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original owner's manual.
