Description
What makes this guitar special: Part of Fender’s attempt to keep up with the Super Strat market of the ‘80s, the contemporary series sports a thin neck for quick maneuverability and a versatile electronics array that includes A HSS configuration with optional coil split and TBX tone control. Professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, this beauty will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age with some normal wear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs are present, with some visible pickwear and mild buckle rash. The locking mechanism on the string nut broke some time ago, and has been modified for regular tuning with slots etched in the aluminum. Replacment parts are not available. The original tremolo arm is missing and not included, and there is a plugged 1/8" hole from a previous strap button.
Body: Contoured double cutaway solid alder body in black finish with top loading Fender tremolo bridge and multi-ply black pickguard.
Weight: 7 lb, 10.2 oz
Neck: Slim maple neck with aged white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Dark rosewood fingerboard is in good shape, and frets have plenty of life left. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Chrome sealed Fender tuners work great. Neck is straight and plays beautifully up and down the length of the fingerboard.
Electronics: HSS configuration with coil-tap toggle, 5-way switch, and F-stamped knobs, 1x volume, 1x TBX tone control. All electronics have been tested and work great.
