What makes this guitar special: A rare model made for only a brief period between '84 & '85, this gorgeous Explorer III is a dynamite player with killer tone & superb playability. The original bridge P-90 was replaced with a full-size DiMarzio humbucker, so it's not totally original anymore, but the sound is super cool & blends well with the two other P-90's. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with micro side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with very little wear. Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Solid alder body with Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 4.1 oz.
Electronics: Original P-90 neck & middle pickups along with an unoriginal DiMarzio bridge humbucker. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; double toggle switches. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
