Description
What makes this guitar special: Considered by many to be superior to the American Fenders of the same era, these Japanese made Squiers are of outstanding quality that far exceeds their price point. The fit and finish is tremendous, with a smooth rounded neck feel that is thinner than a standard Fender neck shape, for quick and easy maneuverability up and down the length of the instrument. As always, this piece has been professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: This piece shows some wear & tear consistent with age, but is in overall great condition! There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with visible finish checking throughout much of the body. The frets show some very light wear, and there is some mild tarnishing on the hardware.
Body: Contoured double cutaway alder body in black finish with 3-ply white pickguard and string-through tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles. The tremolo cover is missing and is not included.
Weight: 7 lb, 7.3 oz
Neck: Slim rounded maple neck with white side dots and white dot inlays. Dark rosewood fingerboard is in great shape, and frets show only light wear with a lot of life left. 1 11/16” nut width. 25 1/2" scale length. Chrome sealed tuners work great. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional. Neck dates to June of ’85.
Electronics: Triple single coils (Neck-5.77k ohms, Middle-5.46k ohms, Bridge-6.10k ohms) with 5-way pickup selector switch and white skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume. All electronics have been tested and are fully functional.
