Description
What makes this guitar special: An all original, super rockin' SG Special from the mid '80s loaded with a pair of killer sounding Pat No. humbuckers. The guitar is very resonant & plays silky smooth with an ultra comfortable neck. A pro set up from the experts at Cream City Music ensures the guitar plays & sounds fantastic right out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Used but not abused, with typical play wear for a 30+ year old guitar - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking. The original white finish has aged into a cream color with some nice variegation throughout. The guitar is marked a factory second, but there are no issues structurally or electronically. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with chrome hardware. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 10.2 oz.
Pickups: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 8.48K ohms; Neck - 7.27K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
