Description
What makes this guitar special: Made for only a short period of time between '83 & '84, this gorgeous, natural finish Strat features a Kahler tremolo bridge with locking nut, noise-cancelling pickups with active electronics and push buttons instead of the traditional selector switch. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for its age with some light play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some mild pitting in the hardware. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with "skunk" stripe & black dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Fender sealed tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck date reads OCT 27 1983. Elite script on neck plate. Locking nut is not original.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body in natural finish. Unoriginal Kahler tremolo bridge with adjustable roller saddles. The Kahler gets a bit stuck sometimes when you work the trem. We tried oiling it, but it still doesn't really move as smoothly as it should. 3-ply pickguard has aged nicely into more of a parchment color. Guitar weighs a hefty 10 lbs 0.3 oz.
Electronics: Three noise-cancelling pickups with active electronics & on/off push buttons. Master volume & dual tone controls. The middle tone control is missing its F cap & the bottom one is a replacement. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Fender hardshell case included.
