What’s special about this guitar: This is a super cool, great sounding and highly versatile vintage Gretsch Super Ax. This guitar features built in phaser and compression effects which actually sound pretty good and make this guitar pretty difficult to put down! Other features include a double-bound hollow body, super comfortable neck and a rosewood fingerboard with square pearloid inlays.
Condition: This guitar is in great overall shape for its age! There are various minor surface scratches, small nicks, dings and dents and some buckle rash throughout the back. The fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions perfectly. There is a patent number humbucker in the bridge and there are no markings on the neck pickup. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound single cutaway body in Ebony stain finish. Wrap-around tailpiece/bridge with six individual saddles. Two-ply black control panel with plastic control knobs with silver inserts and a silver pickguard.
Neck: Super comfortable and nicely rounded neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid square inlays, a zero-fret and a 1 11/16” nut. Bound headstock with nickel tuners and a 24.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Humbucker in the neck and Patent Number humbucker in the bridge. Master volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch. There are There are on/off controls for the phaser and compressor with a sustain knob for the compressor and blend and rate controls for the phaser.
