Description
What makes this guitar special: A great playing late-70s Mustang, finished in a rare and hard-to-find sunburst. Recently acquired from the original owner, this piece shows only mild wear throughout, with plenty of life ahead of it. The short scale in tandem with the slim-C neck profile is a blast to play on, and sure to have you plucking for hours at a time. Professionally inspected and setup by the experts at Cream City Music, this beauty will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some honest wear throughout. There are various surface scratches, nicks, dings, and scuffs, with visible pickwear on the guard and minor tarnishing on the hardware. The clear coat has worn off on much of the bass side of the lower bout where the arm rests, extending down to the strap button. The intonation screw for the D-string saddle is a replacement, and the tremolo bar is not original.
Body: Double cutaway solid ash body in sunburst finish with 3-ply black pickguard and Fender Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece with two-post bridge and individually adjustable saddles.
Weight: 8 lb, 1.8 oz
Neck: Slim C-shaped solid maple neck with black side dots and pearl dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in great shape, and frets have a lot of life left in them. 1 5/8” nut width, 24” scale length. Original F-stamped Fender tuners work great. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.
Electronics: Dual single coil pickups (Neck-5.61k ohms, Bridge-5.57k ohms) with individual 3-way phase switches and black skirted knobs, 1x tone, 1x volume. Pickups date to ’79. Pots date to ’78. All electronics have been tested and are fully functional.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
