Description
What makes this guitar special: A very rare left-handed ‘70s Tele, with the classic late ‘70s paint-fade, giving this one a faded blue edge and an ultra-cool vibe. A previous owner refinished the back of the neck, so unfortunately the headstock decal is gone, but the neck is a true Fender from ’78, and all other components are original. It even comes with the original left-handed case! Professional setup is included, so you’ll have to do is tune it!
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some standard wear and tear throughout. Various scratches, dents, nicks, dings, chips, scuffs, and areas of finish wear, with visible weather checking throughout most of the body. The finish has cracked and chipped in a few areas along the edges, and the neck has been refinished. The original headstock decal was removed at this time. Overall, this one has a killer vibe, with a gorgeous patina.
Body: Solid alder body in black finish (faded to blue) with 3-ply black pickguard and string-through bridge with triple barrel saddles.
Weight: 9 lb, on the dot!
Neck: C-shaped maple neck with black side dots and aged pearl dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in awesome shape, with some light pitting but nothing that affects playability. Original frets show wear but still have life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Original F-stamped tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional. Heel dates to ’78.
Electronics: Original single coil pickups with 3-way pickup selector switch and knurled chrome knobs, 1x volume, 1x tone. Pots date to ’79 and all electronics are fully functional.
Case: Original left-handed Fender hard shell case included.
