What makes this guitar special: These were made for only a short period of time, between '78 & '82, making this particular model first year of production. Cool vintage vibe with some gorgeous figuring in the body. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for a guitar that's approaching 40 years of age. Typical play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, light buckle rash & mild weather checking. The back of the neck & fingerboard have been sanded & the guitar was refretted with jumbo frets. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with black dot inlays. Unoriginal jumbo frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Unoriginal Sperzel locking tuners are in perfect workint condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck date is AUG 8, 1978.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body in natural finish. Music Man high-mass, string-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 14.4 oz.
Pickups: Original Music Man humbuckers with 9-volt battery compartment in the back of the body. Master volume & dual tone controls with knurled dome knobs. 3-way pickup selector switch. 2-way bright switch which accents the upper treble frequencies; 2-way phase reversal switch that operates regardless of the position of the main toggle switch. Pots date to '77 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included - case has a few decals on the outside which can be removed. Original owners manual included.
