What makes this guitar special: 100% original & very clean. Recently acquired from the original owner who took excellent care of the guitar. The gold hardware against the black finish looks really sharp & gives the guitar a real classic appearance. Killer sounding humbuckers with warm, rich tone & sustain that seems to last for days. Professionally set up by Cream City Music so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition with only mild play wear - various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches (mostly pick wear) & light buckle rash. Some of the gold has worn off the edges of the pickup covers & bridge posts. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl diamond inlays. Gold Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap with multiple binding on the top & back. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 10.7 lbs - solid with great resonance!
Pickups: Pat Number humbuckers, both dating to '78. Bridge - 7.40K ohms; Neck - 7.50K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are original & in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
