Cosmetic Condition: Aside from some surface scratches, the bass looks like it was made yesterday! Really clean & shiny - a true museum piece It even has the original ID card from the previous owner in the case - now how cool is that!
Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky maple neck with black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Headstock decals are clean. Chrome Fender tuners are in perfect working condition. A shop sticker is on the back of the headstock - probably where it was purchased from - Ace Music in Santa Monica, CA. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body in Burgundy finish. Top-loading bridge with four barrel saddles & original bridge cover. 3-ply black pickguard shows some surface scratches, but is in great shape overall with no cracks or breaks & has its original thumb rest. The serial number under the pickguard matches the serial number on the headstock. Bass weighs 10.60 lbs.
Pickup: Original split single coil with original cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '78 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case even has its original keys!
