What makes this guitar special: Very rare 12-string Winter Wheat model made in Winfield, Kansas. This splendid dreadnought boasts a rich, robust tone with with superb playability & plenty of volume. Gorgeous appointments include abalone purfling & snowflake inlays. Professionally set up by our own master luthier, so it's in great playing condition & sounds absolutely amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape considering the guitar is pushing 40. There are various surface scratches; nicks, dents & dings throughout; mild weather checking & light buckle rash. In other words, used but no abused. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Medium-profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl snowflake & diamond inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with rosewood overlay. Gold Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 13/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with solid spruce top & abalone purfling. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins & abalone dot inlays. One pin is not original. A small portion of the tortoise pickguard has come loose, but for the most part the guard is firmly adhered to the top. Multi-ring rosette with abalone inlay. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with multi-color herringbone center strip. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 12.6 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included. Case is in good condition overall with some minor wear & tear.
