Description
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. This guitar was well played & has the sound to boot! A great looking guitar with killer tone!
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl inlays. The original tuners have been replaced with Gold Grover Rotomatics which are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with multiple binding on the top & back. The body has been over-sprayed. Unoriginal Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge. Original 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks or breaks. Guitar weighs 10.10 lbs.
Pickups: Unoriginal DiMarzio humbuckers. The guitar originally had two pickups, but the middle pickup was added some time ago & therefore the body was routed for that pickup. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. It's difficult read all the pot codes because of the solder points, but they all appear to be from '77. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action - plays like a brand new guitar. Fat, rich humbucker tones with great sustain & dynamics.
Case: Vintage Gibson hardshell case included.
