What makes this guitar special: A full-bodied dreadnought with a warm rounded tone and terrific projection, this J-45/50 is in super clean condition for its age, and plays like a brand new guitar. The frets show hardly any wear, and beyond a handful of scratches, dents, and dings, its in superb shape. The woods have opened up nicely with this one, giving it a lively sound that well balanced of full of character. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with only some light playwear throughout. There are a handful of scratches, dents, nicks, scuffs, and small chips in the finish, with some surface level buckle rash. The front shows a few small areas of finish checking, and two repaired cracks extending from the bottom of the bridge, along with a small crack extending from the neck joint into the rosette.
Body: Double bound solid mahogany back and sides with solid spruce top in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with black bridge pins. Tortoise pickguard and muti-ring ivoroid rosette with two-stripe ivoroid purfling.

Neck: Medium profile rounded 3-piece maple neck with white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Beautifully variegated rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape and frets show only light wear for their age, with a great deal of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with gold Gibson logo and two-stripe Gibson tuners in perfect working condition. Neck is straight and plays beautifully up and down the length of the fingerboard.
