Description
What makes this guitar special: Super rare guitar made only for a short period of time in the mid to late '70s. This one is ultra clean & shows off some absolutely stunning flame maple figuring in the body. All original & in perfect working condition - a real time capsule piece & definite must-have for any serious collector or player.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition for its age & very well cared for - various minor nicks & dings; mild surface scratches.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with black dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Fender sealed tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & bullet truss rod works fine.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with 4-ply binding & dual F-holes. The top & back of the body display lots of gorgeous flame figuring. String-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. The guitar had been in storage for quite some time so some of the tiny screws in the original saddles had seized up. The guitar is currently fitted with newer retro saddles, but the originals are of course included with the guitar. 3-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 15 oz.
Pickups: Original Fender Wide Range humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 9.90K ohms; Neck - 9.76K ohms. Pickups date to '76. Dual volume & tone controls with master volume; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are original & in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included - also in great shape.
