Description
What makes this guitar special: A true vintage nylon-string Martin that, despite it's less than stellar appearance, has a gorgeous tone - warm & rich sounding with a beautiful resonance. Ours isn't quite as road worn as Willie Nelson's, but with a little help from the next owner, it could certainly well be on its way. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Some ugly looking repaired top cracks & finish disruption certainly don't get any points in the looks department, but at least the repairs were well done & are stable with no playability issues. In other words the issues are really more cosmetic. Throughout the rest of the guitar there are various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & scuff marks. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with a cool well-played look.
Neck: Wide, flat mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Slotted headstock with classical style tuners in perfect working condition. 2 1/8" nut width; 26 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid spruce top with ebony bridge & classical style rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with 3-ply center strip. Multi-ply bound top & back. There is no pickup or pickguard. Guitar weighs 3 lbs 11.1 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
