Description
What makes this guitar special: This beauty was built in the heyday of Japanese Ibanez production, in the peak of the “lawsuit era.” This piece is a fantastic and high quality copy of the Gibson Hummingbird models of the time, of outstanding build integrity all the way around. The sonic balance is great, with crisp highs and a warm midrange balanced against ample bass response. The cherry sunburst finish is vibrant and gorgeous, and is nicely complemented by the ornate pickguard. This guitar comes with a professional setup from our in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Very good condition-there are various surface scratches, nicks, chips, dings, finish wear near the neck joint, and some buckle rash on the body, as well as some mild fret wear and some wear in the detailing on the pickguard.
Body: Double bound laminated mahogany body with solid spruce top in vibrant cherry sunburst finish with artistically inlaid single ply pickguard and rosewood bridge. 16” lower bout width with 4 3/4" depth, and 11 3/4" upper bout width with 4” depth.
Weight: 4lb, 12.6oz
Neck: Mahogany neck with double bound rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl double trapezoid inlays. Headstock features a black overlay with white Ibanez logo and chrome-sealed tuners. 1 3/4" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and plays nicely up and down the fretboard.
