Description
What makes this guitar special: A rare find with an ultra cool vintage vibe! This special anniversary model was created back in '74 to celebrate 20 years of the Les Paul Custom. The white finish has aged beautifully into a cool cream color & shows off a gorgeous patina. The guitar has been professionally set up by us, so it plays & sounds fantastic. A true collector's piece & a definite must-have for any vintage enthusiast.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being over 40 years old - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light buckle rash. There's a circular spot on the back of the neck behind the 9th through 12th frets where the finish was touched-up & oversprayed. The white finish has faded into cream with nice variegation throughout. The gold hardware has tarnished somewhat, but is consistent with the overall look of the guitar.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Twentieth Anniversary logo in the 15th fret. Original frets are in great shape with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl diamond inlays & Gibson logo. Kluson 'waffle back' tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine.
Body: Solid mahogany 'sandwich' body with maple cap. Multi-bound top & back. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 2.9 oz.
