Description
Cosmetic Condition: Super cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches; weather checking & finish wear. The Mocha Brown finish has faded on the top & back of the body, but the sides are still quite dark. The guitar has been professionally refretted with medium jumbos & plays way better than it would with the original small frets these guitars typically have. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina. And what a great player to boot!
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with skunk stripe & black side dots. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Large, Strat style headstock with bullet truss rod & double string trees. Original Fender logo tuners in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works well. Neck dates to '73.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body with 3-ply black pickguard. String-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. Guitar weighs 8.10 lbs.
Pickups: Original Fender Wide Range humbuckers. Bridge - 10.44K ohms; Neck - 10.47K ohms. Both pickups date to '73. Dual volume & tone controls with "witch hat" knobs. Pots date to '73. 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action - neck is smooth & feels great! Killer humbucker tones with nice, dynamic texture. The bigger frets really make a difference!
