Description
What’s special about this bass: This is a great sounding early 70s Musicmaster bass with fantastic playability! This bass features an original grey-bottom single-coil pickup, beautiful red finish and a ridiculously comfortable neck. This bass does show some play wear but it has a great vintage look and is in good overall shape for its age! This is simply a great sounding, great playing vintage bass at a highly affordable price.
Condition: Very good overall shape for the instruments age! There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips and weather checking throughout the instrument. There are a few larger impact dings along the edge but nothing too major! One corner of the pickguard has cracked away, otherwise it is in good shape! The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. The volume pot and one capacitor are unoriginal. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in red finish. Top-load bridge with two saddles. 3—ply white pickguard with dual black control knobs and a thumb rest. The pickguard has developed a great patina giving the bass an authentic vintage look!
Neck: Super comfortable and very nicely rounded maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Open-gear tuners, 30” nut.
Pickups/Electronics: Original grey-bottom single coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 5.40K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 14.5oz.
