Description
What makes this guitar special: A fantastic '71 Strat with wonderful tone & feel, not to mention a killer vintage vibe! Hard to say if the natural body finish is original, but it has been completely oversprayed. Aside from that, the guitar is all straight, right down to the 3-way selector switch. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.
Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky maple neck with skunk stripe & black dot inlays. Original small frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Large headstock with bullet truss rod & single string tree. F-tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 22 OCT 71 B.
Body: Contoured solid ash body in natural finish & oversprayed. Tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles & newer trem arm. 3-ply white pickguard has aged nicely into more of a parchment color. The back trem cover has a small chip in one corner. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 15.2 oz.
Electronics: Original grey bottom single coils. Bridge - 5.64K ohms; Middle - 5.67K ohms; Neck - 5.48K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with original 3-way selector switch. Pots date to '71 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal Fender tweed hardshell case.
