Description
What makes this guitar special: A wonderful player's grade Tele with factory Bigsby & a semi-chunky neck that feels perfect. The neck was refretted for better playability & the guitar is currently loaded with a pair of newer Tele single coils that sound fantastic. With a cool vintage look & a pro set up, this baby will certainly turn some heads.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The fingerboard was sanded, refretted & the whole neck was refinished. The headstock decal is unoriginal & has a bit of stickiness to it when touched. Overall the guitar has a cool, authentic vintage look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky maple neck with maple fingerboard & black dot inlays. Refretted with medium jumbo frets which are in great shape with practically no wear. Original F-stamp tuners are in good working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is not completely straight, but the truss rod does function & the neck plays good up & down the fretboard. Neck stamp reads 3 AUG 71 B, however, the serial number on the neck plate dates to '68.
Body: Solid ash body in Olympic White finish. Original Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge. Original 3-ply white pickguard shows lots of pick wear, but no cracks. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 15.5 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal Tele single coils. The neck pickup is a Vanzandt - 7.98K ohms. The bridge pickup is unknown, but appears to possibly be a Duncan Antiquity based on the cloth wiring & just the overall look of it - 6.87K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs; 3-way selector switch. Pots are unoriginal & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is in good shape, but has an extra latch added.
