Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a uniquely modified ‘70s Ventura Flying V to say the least. The pickups have been replaced with an unknown humbucker in the neck, a DiMarzio humbucker in the middle, and what looks like a Seymour Duncan in the bridge. The neck pickups is traditionally big and warm, while the middle is super hot with lots of chunk and bite, and the bridge is smooth and clean with only mild articulation. One sweep through the 5-way switch should tell you all you need to know about the tonal possibilities, as each pickup sounds considerably different from the next. The neck is as comfortable and familiar as any with an easy C shape most players should recognize. Even with various love marks throughout, it still has a ton of vintage charm and still plays just fine, making it an inexpensive option if you’re looking to get into a flying V with lots of character.
Condition: This guitar is in good condition overall. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, chips, and gauges, but is still in good playable condition. There has been a bit extra routing work in the main body cavity. There are finish cracks throughout, including near the neck pocket. The pickguard is warped, mostly on the treble side near the controls. The frets show mild wear but still have a good amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.
Body: Solid mahogany V body in Cherry finish. 3-ply white pickguard. Black witch hat knobs with silver inserts (one replaced). Unoriginal gold tune-o-matic bridge. Stop bar tailpiece.
Neck: Slim to medium depth C shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Chrome sealed tuning machines (two have been replaced). 1 11/16” nut width. 25” scale length.

Playability/Sound: The neck on this guitar is very easy to play top to bottom and should be comfortable and familiar to a wide variety of players. The pickups are very unique to say the least, with a pretty standard warm, smooth, and full response in the neck, but super hot chunk and bite in the bridge, and a smooth and rounded bridge.
Case: No case included.
