Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a unique, 1970s Ibanez lawsuit SG copy double neck. Lawsuit copies show up from time to time but it is quite rare to find a double neck copy! This guitar is set up with one six string neck, one 12-string neck and dual humbuckers for each neck. This gives the player tons of tonal versatility! The necks are both very comfortable with great action and the look of this instrument is sure to turn heads!
Condition: Very good shape overall. There are plenty of scratches, nicks, dings, dents and small chips throughout the instrument; all typical for a guitar this age. The cherry red finish still looks excellent with the natural wood grain showing through nicely. Fingerboard and frets are in very good shape with only light play wear and some more moderate play wear towards the lower registers. The action is very comfortable on both necks and the truss rods function perfectly. The tuners are unoriginal and are an upgrade to the originals. Screw holes from the original machines are still visible. The pickups are unoriginal but all sound fantastic. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with beveled edges in translucent cherry finish. Each neck has a two-point tailpiece and a height-adjustable bridge with six individual saddles. Skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 4-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Dual bolt-on mahogany necks with bound rosewood fingerboards. Split pearloid inlays and a 1 11/16” nut on both necks. Sealed Schaller tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Each side has a Maxon humbucker in the neck with a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge. Controls include dual volume and tone controls, two way toggle switch to go between necks and a 3-way pickup selector switch.
6-String Neck: 7.94K Ohms.
Bridge: 15.90K Ohms.
12-String Neck: 8.14K Ohms.
Bridge: 4.06K Ohms.
Weight: 13lbs, 5.0oz.
Case: Includes a hardshell case. One of the compartments on the inside of the case is broken, otherwise the case functions fine.
