Description
Condition: This guitar offers the feel and playability of a late 60s SG with some nice modern features making it an excellent player’s grade guitar. The body has been refinished and over-sprayed in a silver sparkle finish. The bridge, both pickups, pots, wiring and pickguard have been replaced. The control knobs are also likely replaced. The tuners are also unoriginal and the original screw holes are still visible. There is a chip in the nut between the high E and B strings but it is not affecting sound or playability. The body has been heavily routed with both particle board and foam added to fill in the routed areas and support the pickups (see photos). The fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier play wear towards the lower registers. The neck has a slight warp towards the 12th fret but is mostly straight and comfortable to play. The truss rod functions fine. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition. Cosmetically there are scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. There is a number scratched into the neck heel by hand and two pearloid inlays look like they have been filled in (see photos).
Body: Solid contoured body in silver sparkle finish. Leo Quan Badass bridge with six individual saddles, skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 3-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Very slender mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Sealed nickel tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Seymour Duncan P-90 in the neck and a JB humbucker in the bridge. Dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 11.59K Ohms.
Bridge: 15.04K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 6.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great player’s grade SG. It offers the feel of a 1969 model with a one-of-a-kind finish and a great pickup combination. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and ideal for those who prefer a very slim neck profile.
Case: Includes unoriginal hardshell case. The case is in good overall condition though one latch is broken.
