Description
What makes this guitar special: An awesome player's grade ES-340 that's been converted to be more like a 335. This guitar has a super cool vintage vibe with a perfect profile neck that's easy to play & very comfortable. The Pat No. humbuckers sound fantastic & deliver those classic warm, rich tones we love in semi-hollow bodies. A great rockin' guitar that needs a good home. Pro set up included from Cream City Music so she's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used but not abused, with typical play wear for a guitar its age - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild finish checking. There are two tiny holes in the top from a previous Bigsby & extra screw holes on the bottom side under the tailpiece. The previous owner painted an oak leaf on the bass side horn. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Three-piece maple neck with some beautiful flame figuring. Nicely aged cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow body with dual F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & some pick scratches. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 4.7 oz.
Pickups: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.44K ohms; Neck - 7.64K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. The volume knobs have gold inserts & the two tone knobs have silver inserts. Pots date to '76 / '77. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
