Cosmetic Condition: Well used, but not abused. There's no mystery as to why this beauty has seen so much action - it's quite simply a fabulous guitar! Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, finish wear/buckle rash on the back & heavy weather checking throughout. No cracks, break or repairs. Overall the guitar has a marvelous, authentic vintage look with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Gorgeous Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Unoriginal trapeze tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with chrome hardware. Original 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 1.6 oz.
Pickups: Unoriginal Lollar Imperial humbuckers with original black bezels. Bridge - 8.50K ohms; Neck - 7.62K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with unoriginal 'top hat' knobs. 3-way toggle switch & pots are original & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Later-period Gibson hardshell case included.
