Description
Description: 1968 Martin D-12-35 12-string acoustic guitar in natural finish.
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking. There is only one minor crack in the guitar - on the top near the pickguard. This was most likely caused by the original pickguard shrinking. The current pickguard is a newer replacement. Also, at one time the bridge had been screwed down as evidenced by three dowels in the back of the bridge, behind the pins. The holes have been professionally filled, but do penetrate the bridge plate underneath. The bridge itself had been re-glued at some point as well & is lifting just a bit on the bass side. It's not too bad & overall the bridge is very firmly secured to the top of the guitar. The neck has been professionally reset. It is straight & action is great - very playable. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. The guitar has been professionally refretted. The frets are in great shape with no wear. Slotted headstock with original tuners in perfect working condition. 1 7/8" nut width; 25" scale length.
Body: Round shoulder dreadnought body. Solid spruce top with solid Brazilian rosewood back & sides. Multi-bound top & back. Ebony bridge; unoriginal black pickguard; multi-ring rosette.
Case: Vintage Martin hardshell case included.
