Description
What makes this guitar special: All original & rare Coral Sitar made in USA. This Vincent Bell signature design electric sitar features a total of 19 strings - the basic six like an electric guitar plus 13 drone strings, making it the 3S19 model, which were only produced between 1967 & '69. These don't come by very often, so it's really exciting to have one in the shop! Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & quite a bit of finish wear along the edges of the body. There's an extra screw hole on the bass-side of the body from a previous strap button. Overall the instrument looks great with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard & white dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. Danelectro Pat Pend decal on the back of the headstock. 1 3/4" brass nut. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Teardrop shape wooden body with treble horn in Textured Bombay Red finish. Six strings with “Sitarmatic” bridge. 13 drone strings with two rosewood bridges & metal saddles along with metal friction pegs designed to be tuned with a harp-style wrench. Clear plexi pickguards with Vincent Bell Signature Design logo. Sitar weighs 7 lbs 12.6 oz.
Pickups: Three “lipstick tube” pickups (two for the played strings, one for the drones). Three volume knobs & three tone knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is in pretty rough shape with the two outside clasps missing, but for the most part serves its purpose well.
