Description
Cosmetic Condition: Super fine vintage vibe & a cool player with very little wear. The biggest issue with the guitar is the cracking along the neck binding & a few pieces needed to be replaced on the treble side. The heel cap also shows a bit of deterioration as well, however, for the most part the guitar is in great shape for its age. There are various minor nicks & dings along with mild surface scratches. The pickguard is also in great shape with no cracks or breaks. The burgundy finish has faded into more of a light chocolate / mahogany color which really shows off some pretty grain patterns, particularly in the top of the body. The guitar has been professionally set up by us with a fresh pack of strings & low action, so it plays better than most vintage Gretsches.
Neck: Maple neck with cream binding & red side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with "thumbnail" inlays. Original frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
