Description
What makes this special: Ultra cool vintage vibe & a true road warrior. We just picked this beauty up at the Nashville guitar show from Bonnie Raitt's guitarist. Professionally set up by Cream City Music so it plays & sounds dynamite!
Cosmetic Condition: Tons of wear & tear - nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There's a professionally repaired crack in the bottom of the body near the control cover. It's stable with no movement. Overall the guitar has a great naturally worn look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. There's some light pitting in the fingerboard, but nothing that adversely affects playability. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Period-correct Kluson Deluxe strip tuners are in perfect working condition, however, different strip tuners were on the guitar at one time as evidenced by the the "ghosting" in the back of the headstock. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, one-piece, solid mahogany body. Tremolo tailpiece & compensated bridge with chrome hardware. 5-ply large black pickguard has warped a bit, but is free of any cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 5.5 oz.
Pickups: Original P-90 "soap bar" single coils. Bridge - 8.77K ohms; Neck - 8.42K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls - black "top hat" knobs with silver inserts. 3-way toggle switch & pots date to '66. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
