Description
Condition: This guitar offers a timeless look and a great feel. There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents and small chips throughout the instrument. The ground wire going from the bridge to the electronics cavity sits beneath the pickguard causing the pickguard to be raised slightly in this area. The pickup has a high ohm reading and rather weak output. The pickup may benefit from being re-wound which would give someone the opportunity to customize this guitar to their liking! The tone control currently functions as a volume control; likely because it needs a new capacitor. In order to keep the guitar as original as possible, we are selling it with the current capacitor and pickup. Some touch-up solder work has been done. The neck is mostly straight and the truss rod functions fine.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in red finish. Vibrato tailpiece with six individual saddles and a trem arm. Dual skirted control knobs with “F’ logo insert and a 3-ply white pickguard.
Neck: Slender maple neck with pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Sealed Fender tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-Coil pickup in the bridge position with master volume and tone controls.
Weight: 6lbs, 13.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This guitar has nothing but potential to be a great vintage player. Having the pickup rewound would result in a great sounding instrument. This guitar came to us as part of an 80-piece collection.
Case: Includes newer model Fender hardshell case.
