Description
Cosmetic Condition: Perfect player's grade vintage guitar! It's been completely refinished in red & the serial number is no longer visible, but the pickup is original & the pots date to '65. There's some goopiness in the finish around the base of the headstock, probably due to hanging on a guitar hook or stand. The guitar is light weight & plays great!
Neck: Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Elongated headstock with pearloid Guild logo. Open-back strip tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with tremolo tailpiece. The screw cap holding in the trem arm is broken in half, but still functions properly. Unoriginal Tune-O-Matic bridge. Original 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks or breaks. Guitar weighs 6.75 lbs.
Pickup: Original single coil pickup - 5.26K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with original Guild knobs & pots. Both pots date to '65.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action - plays like a brand new guitar. Big, fat tone with nice depth & sustain.
Case: Unoriginal padded gig bag included.
