Description
What makes this guitar special: 100% original & exceptionally clean for its age! The sunburst finish is very bold & vibrant, and there is very little play wear on the guitar. Professionally inspected & set up by Cream City Music, so it's in perfect playing condition. Don't miss out on a great opportunity to own a super clean, true vintage '66 Strat.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition for being nearly 50 years old! Various minor nicks & dings; light buckle rash & mild finish checking. The trem cover has a small chip in one corner & a crack across the middle. There's an extra screw hole in the body's treble-side horn, probably from a previous strap button. Overall the guitar is in great shape with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with beautiful rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Large headstock with single string tree. Headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. Kluson Deluxe nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck date is 13 JUL 66 B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in a beautiful 3-tone sunburst. Tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles & original trem arm. 3-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks, just some light pick wear. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 2.5 oz.
Pickups: Original, gray bottom single coils all dating to '66. Bridge - 6.26K ohms; Middle - 6.27K ohms; Neck - 6.30K ohms. All three pickups are pretty evenly matched & kick out a powerful sound. Master volume & dual tone controls with 3-way selector switch. All pots date to '66. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. Most of the top portion of the Fender logo is missing from the outside of the case, but the case itself is in great shape.
